It sounds like you have a good foundation to build a BI career. You may just need an opportunity to get some experience. Start with your current company to see if you can move into more of a BI role. Courses can be good not only for building up the resume, but also from a networking standpoint. However, companies today are looking for work experience over training/certificates.
